Assistant Controller

About the position: Mend.io is seeking a talented Assistant Controller who is looking to grow their skills and career at a cutting-edge AppSec technology company. The Assistant Controller plays a key role in our finance team and will be reporting directly to the Senior Director of Finance.


What will you do?


  • Manage all aspects of the general ledger.
  • Ensure that all balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations, are reconciled on a timely basis.
  • Proper accounts payable controls and credit/collection procedures.
  • Responsible for the month-end close process; setting and communicating deadlines, maintaining schedules, and recording journal entries.
  • Prepare cash flow statements on a monthly basis.
  • Coordinate or assist with the budget process.
  • Responsible for improving, developing, and documenting accounting and finance-related procedures.
  • Assist in the design and documentation of internal controls.
  • Support and comply with government requirements, statutory financial statements, and tax filings globally.
  • Perform other financial job-related tasks and duties as required.


Requirements 


  • 2 years of accounting experience
  • Proven experience in US GAAP audit or reporting work.
  • Knowledge with NetSuite- advantage. Information systems orientation: excellent Excel proficiency.
  • Fluent English.


** In this position, you’ll be working in a hybrid model: three days remotely from home and two days at the office.
