Impact For some HTTP request paths, Synapse will ignore extraneous path segments and therefore serve a resource at an unexpected path. This could allow evasion of external rate-limiting that may be in place. The Client-Server API ("/_matrix/client"), Federation API ("/_matrix/federation"), Synapse Admin API ("/_synapse/admin") and Key Server API ("/_matrix/key") are not affected by this malleability. ### Patches Update to Synapse 1.157.2 or later.
